This Italianate Victorian farmhouse thirty miles east of Columbus, Ohio, has been beautifully restored and decorated. Built in 1858 by Moses Thompson, this private home bed and breakfast is a stunning example of the best architecture and craftsmanship of its time. The beautiful hardwood floors and exquisite walnut woodwork, as well as the marble fireplaces, are original.
Upon arrival, the winding driveway leads you toward the stately home which is flanked by century-old trees and completely surrounded by farmland. Relax and enjoy the country breeze with welcoming refreshments on the wrap-around porch overlooking the sprawling lawn.
We operate our Bed and Breakfast in the traditional European style; you are our personal guests in our private home. Ever mindful of your desire for privacy as well as hospitality we offer the warmth, serenity, and elegance of our first floor rooms in addition to the comfort of your guest room.
We invite you to watch the sun set over the surrounding fields from the porch rockers or the double hammock of this peaceful two-acre retreat. Take a dip in the fabulous new heated Tuscan style pool or a soak in the Jaccuzzi hot tub of the beautiful European courtyard.
In chilly weather the fireplace in the parlor beckons you to warm yourself and step back in time. The outdoor firepit on the cobblestone patio is the perfect spot for moonlit relaxation.
End your day with bedtime refreshments served outdoors or in the cozy oak paneled library.
Greet the morning with a complimentary gourmet breakfast served in high style in the spacious formal dining room or the cheery sunroom.
